I’d prefer the hatch, personally.

My mom apparently had a blue one during her college years and I wish I could find her another. She liked it overall. I am not sure if it was a sedan or hatch.

What a POS. A friend of mine had a two-door notch in high school, baby shit brown with a white vinyl roof, whitewalls and fake wire wheel covers - seriously, majorly fugly. After he crashed it for the third and final time I helped him find a German-made 1978 Rabbit and a nice set of gold BBS basketweaves on 205s. Great car until he crashed that numerous times...

My mom’s first new car was a green 2-door ‘72 B210, that she loved. When I was a baby, my dad left for work, and found the Datsun’s right side rocker panel laying on the ground. Both strut towers had collapsed from rust overnight. The car was nine years old.

My dad had one in high school and really liked it. Apparently it rusted in half though.

I had that exact car in medeterian blue. Blew the engine in 18 months. Otherwise not bad for a $500 car.

I forgot to add - automatic. This thing was so dreadfully slow that you couldn’t drift it with bald tires on oil-coated ice...

Another friend bought a Vega with a 350 in it but unfortunately it came with the stock differential meant for the weak, wheezing stock 4 cylinder engine. He repeatedly blew up the diff, then would go to the junkyard and grab another, then do it all over again.
One day, showing off in front of the school by doing burnouts, he broke the 4th diff with the usual loud noises while simultaneously stuffing the fan into the radiator, embarrassingly grinding to a halt with plumes of steam pouring out of the engine compartment. At that point he finally bought a diff that could handle the power and put in an electric fan, things he should have done from the start.
